Flavio's Tribune

Out of schemes oil and wine Both oil and wine have always been present in human being historic evolution since nobody remembers when. Wine happily celebrates personal unforgettable events, it is such a joyful juice with soul sensations, but abuse and bad use by they who do not have the “wine culture” in their own DNA. A rich and fat seasoning/meal the oil has been violated in its extra virgin nature by people just to make easy money using other fat substances passing them off as “extra virgin olive oil” and selling them through discount stores to unaware buyers. The bottle lasting one hour emotion, the yellow-green enriches one month. The oil keeps no longer than two years but, with extremely expensive treatments even longer. Special wine reserved to refined connoisseurs ready to appreciate it in all of its complexity. The well known recognition being international wine grape plants and poor significance of bright autochthonous Italians; the oil composed by ignorance dripping from “not to know” still inconceivable in its integrity and various cultivar. Now days the Italian identity crisis consists of being extremely direct in exasperating what is unknown and underlining what is full of injuriousness . The “Dante’s Duke” I will lead your senses from hell to paradise passing through purgatory where one becomes aware. The awareness of turning into a strong passionate “wine-oil gastronomic” person supported by simple life sensory experiences.

FPF Corner

FPF corner “searching for secluded wine shops” is a “survey (journal) of visiting small productors’ firms which, without offending anyone, are unknown to the larger part of the keens  and which represent local reality only. Our task is to test their products, and if valuable, to make them familiar to public opinion through our site.   We would have preferred the inscription “searching for genuine wines” but this would have recalled  if not copied  a lofty reportage by the great oenogastronomic Italian talent scout Mario Soldati, who during the second half of last century researched local wines and wine plants quality at that time unknown or neglected, by writing books nowadays part of cultural Italian literature patrimony. We modestly hope to loyally describe what will see and taste in barely known and maybe niche wine shops, only accessible in founded by chance places or after local people’s suggestions we exhaustingly required: where can we find genuine wine?
